Hip-hop style is actually street dance styles mainly performed to hip-hop music. It includes Breaking (Breaking was created in the South Bronx, New York City during the early 1970s),Locking(Locking, originally called Campbellocking, was created in 1969 in Los Angeles, California) and popping (Popping was created in Fresno, California in the 1970s).The older dance styles that were created in the 1970s in United States.
Hip-Hop Culture:
Hip-hop developed from several cultures, including jazz, rock, tap and American and Latino cultures. Hip-hop is a very energetic form of dancing. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities.
The hip hop culture is influenced by the following four elements:
- Disc jockeys (Dj)
- Graffiti (art)
- MCs (rappers)
- B-boys and B-girls (breaker boys and breaker girls)
